WHY is it that in the world today,
as technology advances,
as the world economy booms,
as people get richer and richer,

there are still those WEIRD, DISGUSTING,
INHUMANE,
SPIT-WORTHY people,
who live amongst us,
but are sexual predators,
animal abusers,
crazy killers...

in a recent Readers' Digest issue,
there was an article about
the illegal human trafficking
trade in Asia and the illegal
child prostitution.
Disgusting, pervertic,
puke-worthy men prey on
innocent boys and girls that
are barely old enough or not even
old enough to go through puberty.
SOMEONE should do SOMETHING
about this.

before reading this,
i watched a film about this issue as well
which really opened my eyes to the irking
world we live in.
teenage girls are being conned into being
tortured, trafficked and forced into prostitution,
children are being kidnapped, some of them
were even tourists just enjoying their holidays
with their families when local brothel owners
just capture them and illegally force them to
sell their bodies and dignity.

Sad. Really sad. I now have thought of the possibility
in venturing into a career in saving people like
them in the future.

But now, i have to stand aside, hopeless, unable to
help present victims, in the pursuit of my own
education.
